Associate Level Designer
*Contract opportunity, local (NYC area) candidates preferred.**

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take playable game levels and collaborate with various disciplines to take them to AAA quality
  • Address QA bugs as they are reported
  • Iterate on AI and game play content to take from rough 1st pass to shippable quality
  • Must communicate effectively and collaborate successfully with game designers, art directors, producers, concept, and environment artists is essential.
  • Help coordinate and maintain scheduled tasks, communicate progress, identify obstacles, and help improve team workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and proficiency in the Unreal Engine, with a primary focus on kismet scripting.
  • Proven ability to finish and ship a level, either professionally or as a mod maker
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate productively with others.
  • Ability to work with moderate to minimal supervision, and successfully deliver on your directed goals and tasks.
  • Positive, professional attitude. Disciplined and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to think creatively and analytically.
  • Excellent organizational skills; the ability to multitask effectively, prioritize competing demands, and follow through on details.
  • Must be flexible enough to deal with changing role requirements.
  • Passionate about games and able to articulate that passion clearly and analytically.
  • A broad knowledge base of console and PC games.
