Job Responsibilities:
Work with the Management Team to create and implement leadership development, workforce planning, and employee retention and growth strategies.
Maintain internal THQ human resource policies and procedures in accordance with corporate handbook and statutory laws.
Manage and facilitate processes associated with all employee activity such as new hires, leaves of absence, terminations, promotions, etc using THQ corporate policies.
Partner with staff and management on employee relation issues, such as mediation, performance development, evaluation, and conflict resolution.
Employee liaison for benefits information including, Medical, Dental, Vision, IIS, EAP, Tuition Reimbursement (answer basic questions, refer employees to IIS).
Work with THQ corporate in compensation analysis and recommendations for Northeast region.
Manage Annual Performance Evaluation Process and 90 day reviews.
Process all paperwork of salary changes, promotions, demotions, job changes and all other staff related issues, ready for signatures.
Monitor/develop/change internal reporting systems such as vacation scheduling, sick days, LOA.
Conduct new staff orientations and integration.
Provide consultation advice in disciplinary matters, recommend and attend employee/management discussions; initiate disciplinary action including verbal and written reprimands where necessary.
Determine and execute potential terminations with executive, recommend action to be taken, conduct termination interviews where appropriate.
Oversee the preparation and execution of all employment agreements and job offers.
Qualifications/Education:
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Strong general business and HR acumen.
A self-starter in a fast paced and creative environment.
High energy level and strong work ethic.
2-5 years experience in a HR Generalist role.
Bachelors degree in HR related field.
